Our Wallets

Wallets are essential for cryptocurrencies. They contain your coins and allow you to send and receive money. We’ve built our wallets to be secure, fast and easy to use. We’ll improve them continuously, so make sure to use the latest version.

Please note: Some anti-virus applications may mark the wallet as a virus. This is a false positive and can be safely ignored.

Getting started

1 Download our wallet, and install it. It will automatically create the folders where the blockchain will be downloaded to. If you have an older wallet installed, it simply updates your files. You still should backup your wallet.dat file before upgrading.

2 Start the wallet, and grab some coffee. The first loading process may take some time, because the wallet is going to download all past transactions. Depending on your computer’s speed and broadband connection the time it needs can vary. This is only needed once.

3 Don’t start using it yet. First, encrypt the wallet. Set up your password, by clicking on Settings and Encrypt wallet. It then asks you to enter your password. After doing so, the wallet will shut down.

4 Start it up again after the shut down. You now have your wallet encrypted and hopefully stored the password safely. No one can now access FRG stored in your wallet without the password; only you can.

5 Add addresses of persons or companies you are frequently paying to. Go to File, Sending addresses. There you can add the description (“label”) and the address of a recipient.

6 If you have bought FRG, you can now send it to your wallet by going to File, Receiving addresses. Copy the address you want to have your FRG in and paste it in the sending form of your exchange.

Unsure about how you should setup or install your wallet? Don’t worry. The best thing is to stop fiddling around. Just join us on one of our community channels, and we’ll help you through it. There’s always someone available.
